have you attempted to "Customize" during the install?

EDIT: sorry, I just read your post over at the iDeneb thread.

use the forcedeth Lan fix.. you'll need to edit your info.plist with your devID. There are plenty of sources here in the forum for help with this. There is also the nForce LAN driver that you can read about and apply to your system.

Besides other releases i've tried this release too but the same infamous error "Still waiting for the root device" appears, although it seems that the chipset is recognized. From what I read it seems i have a bad combination of hardware. I've tried boot options from here http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/in....22_message.3F but with no luck.
Here is my hardware configuration, dvd-rom is slave and sata drive tertiary master (I guess this is by default)

> Mainboard : Abit KN9(NF-MCP55 series)

> Chipset : nVidia nForce 570 Ultra

> Processor : AMD Athlon 64 X2 3600+ @ 2000 MHz

> Physical Memory : 1024 MB (2 x 512 DDR2-SDRAM )

> Video Card : NVIDIA GeForce 7600 GS

> Hard Disk : SAMSUNG (250 GB) 2504c SATA II

> DVD-Rom Drive : TSSTcorp CD/DVDW SH-S182M SATA

Is there any solution or it simply doesn't work for my hardware ?

why isnt my internal hard drive not being detected in disk utility
I see nothing there

also, i cant change anything from the bios menu when i go into system menu by pressing f10 at startup screen. Ive been told that changing your drive from AHCI to Compatibility might result in your drive showing up in disk utility.
Could some one help me how to do it!
Please!
Thanks

hey, i had the same prob and someone gave me a solution to it!
TRY THIS!

1. Get the UUID for the install partition on your external.
Boot the DVD and go into Disk Utility. You can see your external. Right click your install partition and select information. You should now see a long alphanumeric string Something like: "CC3DCCBD-1CF3-3FEE-8D50-625375FEBF3D". Copy this Unique Identifier to a sheet of paper and shut the computer down.

2. Boot using the UUID
Start your machine up with the DVD and type

-v boot-uuid=PUT_YOUR_UUID_HERE

It worked for me, it takes about 5-10 mins though and it seems to be stuck on one line. Be patient and it should boot up!
