Yes, with this kernel system is a bit faster, but i cant boot in normal mode, only with -v -f
I get a kernel panic if i boot in normal mode...

-v -f shouldnt change that, "-v -f" only tells it to show what normally loads in the background, -f forces extension loading and kernel caching i believe, i may be wrong.
So your still in normal mode once booted, just without the Apple Loading screen at boot.
I have all updates - including time machine update applied, i just dont use time machine though.
