Please read the Rules:

3.) Double-posting (or cross-posting) the same post (or similar posts) in different forums will cause confusion and most likely reduce chances or receiving a valid resolution for the topic. Please do not bump threads.

4.) Be patient. Do not expect an answer immediately. All the users of this community are using the forum and participating in discussions in their own time.

There is absolutely no need to post the same topic 3 times.

To answer your question:
No it is not possible to install Mac OS X on that machine, because even with running a patched Kernel, it requires your CPU to support the SSE2 instruction set, that ain't supported by the Athlon XP series.

I have been running 10.4.1 in kqemu on similiar e-waste, but with 1GB of RAM / 512 for the VM once for fun.
Well at least it has had "in time reaction" , but I wouldn't even recommend trying that on your setup.

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showpr...d=1805&subcat=
its a Asus V6-P5G41E Barebone system (Socket 775)
Intel® G41 Chipset, SATA 3Gb/s, Dual-Channel DDR3 1066/800 support, Support Microsoft DirectX10, Gigabit Lan,

would that do the job?

If it does so, your BIOS fools you.

I would not recommend the Barebone you picked out for use with OSx86 as the IGP won't work, the Audio Codec sucks & if you want to keep using IDE devices from your old rig, the VIA Controller might lead into problems.
Also there is usually a reason for something to be cheap & there are not many deatails avaible for that one, so you have the risk to get something like a weak power-suply or similiar dissapointments...

If you want to buy from that shop, I think the Gigabyte GA-EP41-UD3L is good base to start with. Put it together with some Celereon or Pentium Dual-core CPU + an 8000 or 9000 Series GeForce & the sum should be a easy affortable + great working Hackintosh computer.
