To answer your question: No it is not possible to install Mac OS X on that machine, because even with running a patched Kernel, it requires your CPU to support the SSE2 instruction set, that ain't supported by the Athlon XP series. I have been running 10.4.1 in kqemu on similiar e-waste, but with 1GB of RAM / 512 for the VM once for fun. Well at least it has had "in time reaction" ![]() AMD Phenom II X4 955 - ASRock AM3A770DE - 8GB DDR3-1333 - Radeon HD 5570 1GB passiv - BCM4318 802.11b/g - Snow Leopard Retail

If it does so, your BIOS fools you.

Also there is usually a reason for something to be cheap & there are not many deatails avaible for that one, so you have the risk to get something like a weak power-suply or similiar dissapointments... If you want to buy from that shop, I think the Gigabyte GA-EP41-UD3L is good base to start with. Put it together with some Celereon or Pentium Dual-core CPU + an 8000 or 9000 Series GeForce & the sum should be a easy affortable + great working Hackintosh computer. ![]() 💡 Deploy cloud instances seamlessly on DigitalOcean.
