I have yet to decide to build a hackintosh, but one thing that would ease my mind would be some feedback on whether sound and midi will work okay with a Hackintosh. Midi and sound will be critical as I have lots of music composition software and a midi keyboard and a PreSonus AUDIOBOX USB connection between my midi keyboard (M-Audio Oxygen 8) and a usb cable connecting the PreSonus to my computer. My soundcard is a Creative Titanium X-Fi. But I am willing and likely would build a Hackintosh from scratch, even buy a new sound card, I just would like some reassurance that I will be able to do midi input for music composition. Luckily my music software (Cubase 5, Sibelius 6, Komplete 6) has Mac OS X versions on the discs so I will not have to repurchase all new software!
