Wrong. Only remove the injectors that were installed. You need those drivers for things like OpenGL and stuff.
After you remove the injectors, then you can use the EFI string. There's no guarantee it will work.
You may want to add your device ID to some of the drivers themselves. Search in Genius Bar, you will find my 7600GS 512MB guide, it should work similarly for your specific card.
Also, only the really old AGP cards and slots are problematic. Any AGP 3.0 4x/8x slot and compatible card will work fine.
