Samsung BX2450 only 1024*768

I have a 5870 videocard and a Samsung BX2450 monitor. I got OSX 10.6.3 running beautifully. However, I can't get the monitor to run in 1920x1080 resolution mode. The only resolution is 1024*768.

I tried the SwitchX program but also this program can't determine that the monitor can run at 1920x1080 mode. The monitor is a HDMI monitor. I have used both the HDMI-HDMI and the DVI-HMDI connection. Both with the same result.

Would anyone have any advice here or is it just the only resolution it will run?

Thanks.

Your graphics card ain't supported by 10.6.3 - you need 10.6.4 with drivers from the MacMini Image or 10.6.5 for it to work properly...
