I started the Iatkos installer with the cpus=1 flag... With or without that I can install... not sure what impact it's having. I added a cpus=1 string to the kernel flags of the boot.plist file in /Library/Preferences/... after installation - doing so seemed right even though the profiler was showing only 1 cpu but the Voodoopower GenericCPU usage thing in applications was showing 2... now it shows 2 also but the second one has ridiculus values and the first one shows something that looks right... I don't know what's the good setting. The profiler identifies the netbook as Macbook4.1 - hadn't noticed that before.
Also this time I reinstalled I checked Voodoo with trackpad, and not the other. I had tap-to-click during the account creatin part of the install and had to check 'clicking' in the trackpad prefpane after install... overall the tap seems to have improved this time over... not sure why.
It's trial and error...
