Did you try deleting AppleUpstreamUserClient.kext as described here: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/ind...&#entry1074361?
Rebooting from Linux, even without X, also solves the problem, so possible solution is manupulating with linux, scripts and grub.cfg.
