I have same system as you and had the same problem with the first hazard distro which worked fine on my other system with athlon x2 and sb600. I got sl installed om the phenom 2 x4 sb750 system using the hazard client server distro. try that. Make sure you are installing from a sata optical drive and ahci in bios AND reduce your ram to 2g for the install.
After I install on phenom/sb750 system and boot sl. It fails with "mis-match between kernel and cpu pm". This distro needs the null cpu management kext. Anyone know how to add this to the distro from windows? I have the kext. |

I've had success with ideneb 10.5.8 lite. You could install ideneb 10.5.8 and then make edits to SL from 10.5.8. I'm having problems with diskutility letting me create a partition, but I suspect that I after I get past that issue, it should install. I will report back. where can i find the hazard client server distro? thanks. |

edit distro
I have an sl 10.6.2 system running on my other pc. I can access the installed partition that fails as it is on the same disk. Is there a way i can add the kext from the running sl? Where would i find how to do this. I am new to Mac.

re-boot on install
The hardware will be different on your new system and incompatible with the install. Try the hazard client/server install, download from the attached torrent file. This worked for me. If this does not work you should check that your bios is set to ahci for the hdd and optical drive you are installing from which must be sata, you may need to reduce your memory to 2gb for the install. If none of this works then i would suspect your graphics chip is not supported.

Maybe someone can help me here. I went ahead and downloaded hazard snow leopard client server 10.6.2 and it booted with no problem. However, I'm running into partition problems. I have a 1TB drive which currently holds windows 7. During the windows 7 installation i allocated 350GB to windows 7 and left the remainder of the drive unallocated. After booting the hazard dvd and when I get to the point of creating a partition to install snow leopard, I cant. If i leave my volume scheme as "current", I cant create a new partition. It's simply grayed out. If I select 1 or 2 or 3 partition, it divides my drive into 1, 2 or 3 partition respectively which makes me feel uneasy since it doesnt recognize my two existing partition for windows 7.
I downloaded gparted and tried creating a partition that route, but gparted did not see the two existing partitions where windows resides. I went ahead and created a separate 250GB partition via storage management in windows 7. I went ahead and booted off the hazard dvd thinking I would be able to select the newly created partition ( which I did not format) and to my surprise it was grayed out. What am I missing? Or will I have to buy a separate drive which will bring my total to 4 which im not too crazy about. |

In my opinion its best to use a separate drive but i agree 4 discs is too much in a pc. It got too much and i had 5 drives in one pc. Now I only have 1 windows boot drive in a pc and use the hot swap dock ICY DOCK MB877SK-B Tray-less Alumin, then you manage your drives easily - as many disks as you like, great for backup too. 💡 Deploy cloud instances seamlessly on DigitalOcean.
