Hello-

I have always had a USB problem and tried multiple fixes without success.

I now have a working system based on Gigabyte G31M-ES2L Rev. 1.1 running 10.6.4

USB ports only recognize devices if they are plugged in during boot. Also any USB thumb drive only gets usb1 low speeds.

Is this just an artifact associated with running on the G31M-ES2L? Or is there a fix that works?

Also I did this install via the USB method and at USB 1 speeds it was excruciatingly slow.

Edit: Is there a 3rd party USB controller i could add to possibly remedy this?
