Has anyone had any results in getting a USB wireless adapter to work?
Ive researched this alot and it looks like my Dynex USB adapter is not supported by any third party osx86 drivers or anything. Its recognized fine in my System Profiler as: 802.11b/g LP/SC USB: Version: 0.01 Bus Power (mA): 500 Speed: Up to 12 Mb/sec Manufacturer: Broadcom Product ID: 0x0721 Serial Number: 43860000 Vendor ID: 0x4317 Is there any Kexts I could put the device id into? Its a broadcom chipset like the aiport cards so I think it may work, I just dont know what kext to manipulate to get this to work. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks. You could give kismac a try to check out if it´s possible to communicate to your card with its built in drivers.
I don´t know much about broadcom chipsets. I know Ralink and prism2 chipsets work quite good on real macs and osx86 machines too. |
