Yep. What kalmdave said. I have a hp pavillion with AMD 64x2 4800 on a mp61 board with nforce 430 chipset and it has been very difficult to get going. I also have the nvidia 4800gs like kalmdave and it rocks. My ATI 2400 pro hd will not work with snow leopard (hazard) but worked great with iatkos v7. So just do your research, try to stick with nvidia GPU and stay away from nforce chipsets if you can. I get ApplenforceATA errors at boot on all distros from my chipset. Good luck!  |
