ok, what you need is a IR receiver, Apple remote and software. There was one little app called Mira, but it's not working in Leopard. I'm using Remote Buddy, which is a great app. It supports a lot of different receivers. I'm using a MCE IR receiver from HP, but any eHome MCE receiver should work. They're cheap. I suggest getting a microsoft or HP one. With Remote Buddy you can use the remote in many different applications, also you can emulate e a keyboard or a mouse You can also use a Wii remote.
