Update to my previous post,
This is NOT true : "-ALC888vc kext from www.kexts.com no longer needed"
Turns out it is still needed. And though it works without doing so, I still disabled AppleHDA.kext as per the instructions for that kext.
And I had to remove JMicronATA.kext. It was present from my initial 10.5.6 setup, but no longer needed unless I also wanted ATA support, but this rig is all SATA. |
