I just took some pic's of my project booting with UGA for graphic's boot. I'm alil fired up since munky's last post! I only have still pic's, as I don't have a camera with enough memory to make a video. That is next on the agenda since munky want's to make a big stink about it.

I'll post it on YouTube when I get it captured.

Maybe this is good though.

Look at pic's.... Booting with -v, but goes straight to graphic's mode. Maybe something with UGA? I don't know. I wanted to take pic's of boot messages in verbose, but had to settle for System Profiler.

Maybe someone can help me with this? As I just added UGA before taking pic's.

I Have used this iso for my retail installs om 2 diferent machines. Both have booted flawlessly. I obtained my copy of the iso from the Hackintosh site forum. Same iso the one in this thread.

Boot the iso to the prompt - then eject iso
Replace w/ your purchased retail dvd and hit 9f then hit enter
The darwin boot will come up to either hit F8 or enter - hit enter
The dvd should then boot to the install screen
Install Leo - reboot
On reboot replace dvd w/ the DFE iso and boot as before - instead of replacing w/ dvd, boot from your new install. To do that, instead of 9f hit 80 or 81 (first disk install =80 - second disk=81)
Your new install should then boot.
After it boots, you need to install your kexts for your board etc..

My boards - GA EP43 DS3L and GA P35 DS3L - Both have a Q6600 By the way, these are great boards for os x86

That is no longer true. Using the new Voodoo kernel along with Munkys Tutorial, retail installs are now possible for AMD owners

One thing to note with this... the way to get "retail" installs is to "restore" the install DVD to a flash drive or other bootable media (other than a DVD) and edit the bootloader of this drive. So in a way it still isn't a retail install... but the system installed is retail.

This is true if your installing on AMD, but it's sole purpose is to boot the Retail DVD and install on Intel.

Also, the Hackint0sh thread is the original thread I posted. I thought I could bring it here to benefit this community as well.

I was simply replying to Voyn1x... I am not injecting or implying anything about your method. If it works for Intel, that's great... you specified this above and I don't see the reason to keep beating it in.
