I've installed the 10.5.2 update into Zephy's 10.5.1, everything seems to be running just fine. Using EFI and the new kernel. So, am I safe to use software update to get the newest quicktime, frontrow and Itunes? Is there anything special that I need to do to install these updates? Please inform

As with all the quicktime updates, you will need to patch it with Marvin's utility.

If you found it on the Wiki, you've also found a link to the thread at insanelymac describing Marvin's and it's use... Go back and look above "download" for "thread"...

Pardon my ignorance. I had read that forum, and several other forums about Marvin, but couldnt find any clear instructions on its use. However, I've decided that these updates are not as crucial as I once thought.
Thanks for the help. |

I never used Marvin with these updates. In fact Marvins has never worked for me since it can never find any files to patch. The updates are fine to install. Just make sure you replace your quicktime component file with the itunes fix one to get your front row and covers to work.

if you download the updated software manually and download from their designated servers, works flawlessly to me. Quicktime and iTunes work. Only problem is the fact that iTunes' Cover Flow crashes all the time. :-)
