Can somebody (who experienced this) tell me why I am unable to successfully update my Adobe CS3 software? I ran the adobe update tool and am able to download all of the updates, however, when installing, some point in the middle, the installation is stuck. Please help, thanks.

try using marvin's utility, its just a guess i dont know if it will work. Another guess : you may need to have cs3 with a license (not one from the torrent places)) but a full original copy

I should have mentioned this in the beginning, but I am updating the trial versions. I don't use illegitimate licenses. I never used marvin's utility after installing the suite. Am I suppose to? Seems like everything is working besides the updated downloads. Please let me know, thanks.

you'll need the latest applesmbios by mac.nub to get them running and/or activated, so I guess you might need it to use the updater correctly too... http://my.macdotnub.info/content/view/19/26/

when you say get them running, you meaning opening the applications? I haven't really tried to use Dreamweaver and all of the CS3 software 'yet' I only installed them. the link you provided, does it support AMD? Or do I have to install and patch with Marvins?

I'm using 10.5.2, didn't Zephyroth incorporate the latest applesmbios?

I'm using the kext provided at the link on zephyroth 10.5.2, so yeah, it works on amd. and what I mean with "to get them running" is exactely what is written: without this kext the apps will just crash.

for your second question: the kext wasn't out yet. it's a custom one.

How do I install this? Is there a separate installer for this, or is it more like copying and pasting files? I wish I knew about this before. This should be on the WikIDot =) Thanks

This file provides the required information to the Mac to allow use of Vanilla kernels, for OS features to function correctly etc.

This AppleSMBIOS has been modified to (hopefully) allow everything to now work correctly. Adobe CS3, Final Cut Pro, DVD Player, Bluetooth, Memory Info etc. should now all function correctly when using these. There are various "flavours" most systems should just use the default version as it will provide the correct information on most systems. The default version picks up the Model Name to the information provided by your motherboard DMI.
