10 hours repairing permissions

Hi, I restored a timemachine backup to a new Bigger Hardrive but the system doesn't start up. so I'm doing Repairing permition from another installation of OSX, the thing have been doing the repairing permtion for 3 hours and said that I will need 10 hours more, is this normal ?

Did you reinstall chameleon after you restored the backup? It should boot. No point in repairing persmissions until it boots.

No that probably is far from normal. Reinstalling Chameleon will probably fix it faster than that, though.
