Quick update.. I modified the kexts with my ID string, and installed them with OSX86Tools, along with the AppleSMBIOS-27rev3-800. OSX is booting up in full res, but still no CI/QE.. It is recognizing the 512MB, but that hasn't really been an issue for me with anything else either.

1. Try to first remove all nvidia and geforce kext's from your machines System/Library/Extensions folder (restart). 2. Then use EFI studio to write your 7600 512mb to com.apple.boot.plist. 3. Finally, install the 9f23installer.pkg for the correct 10.5.6 kext's for your nvidia card (restart). You should be good to go.

This is what worked for my 8600 GT 256 card in iPC 10.5.6

If all else fails, reinstall iPC without selecting anything from "customize" for your video drivers (no kexts, nothing). Then continue from step 2. above

Wink This worked for me.

@borbou: hmm, so i dnt know...maybe it were different kexts, maybe it were kexts from Hara Taiki...i dnt know...but there were different IDs
@albatross83: i have AppleSMBIOS-27rev3-800 too, im using vanilla kernel...

Here are my steps:
1. Be sure that your id is 0x039210de !
2. Install Leo without ANY video kexts/injectors...(i highly recommend iPC)
3. Install 0x039210de kexts using Uinstaller(dnt forget to select right hard drive )
4. Reboot (you can boot up with -f but for me it worked also without it)
5. Have fun with nice and smooth graphics!

Update: I followed all the steps but still i can only boot in safe mode.... and no ci/qe enabled...

1)sure is!
2)installed ipc 10.5.6 without any kexts/injectors
3)installed the kexts downloaded from your link using Uinstaller (and deleted extensions cache using Osx86 tools)
4)rebooted with -f
then im stuck to the black screen with the white cursor

when i boot in safe mode, thats what profiler sais:

any idea on that?
i'm using vodoo 9.5.0 kernel btw.

OK did that too but same result...

1. Fresh install of ipc with no kexts for video
2. used EFI studio to write 7600gs 512mb to com.apple.boot.plist.
3. installed the 9f23installer.pkg

when booting i get the same black screen
and in safe mode, thats what profiler sais:

can you tell what all graphics kext it has loaded while in safe mode. You can get that in system profiler->loaded extensions.

No words about deleting cache in my steps! I tried it once and also could boot only in safe mode. Remember, i did it without flashing! But if it work for you then...
