Hey,

Sorry agrafuese, i don't meant to stalk you or something - i am just not sure if you saw the messages. I saw you posted on insanely mac something about hackintosh going berzerk and rebooting, according to the console, because of ""we crashed at instruction 0xffff0315 (PID 0)""
Did you ever solve that problem? There are a few of us with it.. is it the same thing as that mouse skipping?

I have the feeling it is actually related to the mouse skipping problem, but i am not sure. When I leave the computer away, it will eventually have this error and reboot.
If i use it intensively, eventually my mouse starts skipping (at the beginning, for hours, it is completely fine), then all of a sudden system performance degrades, and i get a spinning wheel. Since i am working, i usually just reboot, so i don't know if, had i waited, that would go into that stupid error 0xffff0315.

If it is of any use in our struggle against the mouse-skipping thing: I thought it was due to my lan interfaces (the damn nforce and marvell which don't work perfectly). I completely deactivated them in the bios, and removed them from my hardware list under mac os.
Now i use internet through firewire (i use my macbook as an expensive and bulky wireless modem, basically). I still get the mouse-skip problem...
Decreasing HT helped, i think. but still, it can get buggy.

if you look up my name in osx.kbot.de, you should see a couple of threas where i was trying to reach you ..
Thanks man

man, you brought me back in time just now, as i completely forgot about that damn problem! well, it hasn't happened again since that time i posted (almost a month ago according to that thread). so i have to say no, i haven't fixed it at all, nor do i know what is causing it. have you seen my reports about the -10810 errors? that's a fun one too! have you had the pleasure of experiencing it as well? i do think that all of this is related too. please do join us over in the monster thread here:

I can't say we've solved anything, but we're currently trying to find a common thread amongst all of us. Currently we have many users with nForce4 chipsets, and if I'm not mistaken, that's what you have too, right? Still, there are other guys in there that have other chipsets too :\ This is a real killer man. If you have the time, try looking over that whole thread. I know it's long, but you might be able to catch up and help us out.

Oh, and sincerest apologies for not seeing your other messages/posts. I wish these forums had a feature that let you subscribe to threads so you can see when a new post is written (like on Insanelymac). Oh well

yeah, of course i have these stupid errors too.. I have an nforce 4 as well, but as mentioned, i got rid of it in the bios. I'd be surprised if leopard was still bugging because of something which was removed altogether from the bios. I am using the ip over firewire thing right now, and at least i don't have random freezes.
Damn, i just wish i had a mac pro, life would be simpler..
thanks for your help in any case, and no worries about the messages - the whisper function is just not very well designed..

yeah, i just saw the whisper you sent me after doing an advanced search, haha. i'm feelin' ya on the mac pro wishes. on the other hand, i'm waiting to buy a new intel pc setup that i can run a vanilla install on. maybe that's the way to go. i hate to give up on AMD, but if these issues we're having can't be fixed or figured out, what choice do i have? i still have some hope though, otherwise i would have given up weeks ago.

Well, at the same time, it is not completely crippling, is it? I guess if you want to leave torrents on, it is a pain , yeah. I do research on mine, so i just save what i do all the fucking time. can't be too cautious...
Why an intel setup and not a mac? is it just the price which is ridiculous, or? I just feel now that i will only give up the pain of all the hackintosh if i adopt a real mac, but it is kind of frustrating...

yeah, price. for what you get, that is...i can't drop $2000 on a new system. but yeah, it all depends on what you do with your system. in my case, i can just run torrents on another machine, but i think at this point i am spoiled because i had a 100% working Tiger installation. so for me, Leopard is almost a down-grade :\ I've been joking with a friend that it's time to go back to Tiger...but like I said, I am holding out with hopes that we'll find some solutions soon.

how long has tiger been around?
leopard is new so it will take time to get everything working right and get all the bugs out of it so it can run great on our amd systems

you can't expect everything to work right away
sh*t i can't burn dvds or cds on my system in leo but a month ago i couldn't even install it because my nforce4 board wouldn't work now it installs
i say give it time keep posting about the bugs that we have and put our brains together and soon we will have a bug free hackintosh for our amd systems

just my two cents
i could be wrong
