Ok fellas. I've probably done about 3 hours of research and trial and error on this and I can't get my damn audio working for the life of me.
I have a Gigabyte GA-K8U Board w/ ALC850 AC97 Audio Codec. (Using Zephs 10.5.2 Rev.1)
I must have tried like 6 different AppleAC97Audio.kexts (with kext helper) and I'm getting no luck what-so-ever.
Is anyone else having trouble with these GB board? System profiler under Built-in Audio states no device each time.
Also, under Extensions in SP it never shows AppleAC97Audio.kext even though I do all the process of loading the .kext file correctly.
Is this .kext not supposed to show up in System Profiler?
Basically, Sound and Sata are impossible to get working on this board.. The SATA chipset is the Uli M1689.
Any info would be greatly appreciated guys.
