I've got a little question:
I'm not able to run any of the newer AppleSMBIOS.kext versions without the problem of temporarly shutting down the finder when starting the "About this Mac" dialog.
The only version that works is the 1.0.1, Copyright Hackinth0sh.org team. 2007, size 220KB.

I run Zephs 10.5.1, successfully updated to 10.5.3 with all other updates.
Kernel 9.3.0, with EFI
Mainboard: ASRock K8upgrade-NF3
CPU: AMD Athlon64 3200+

Any suggestions why it's not possible to use the latest AppleSMBIOS.kext from here?

I can not use the latest AppleSMBIOS.kext either, it will crash my About This Mac just like yours.

Hence I have always been using the old version which works fine.
