Does anyone out there have any suggestions as to how to get an integrated ATI X1200 running on 10.5.2??

I've been running 10.4.9 with an integrated X1200 for a while now. No QE/CI but I got a resolution of 1280x1024 with callisto b005 which made life bearable.

I've just traded my stripes for spots with Zeph's 10.5.2, and it was a very smooth change over. But now I'm stuck with nothing but 1024x768! Tried using the callisto kexts and graphics mode flag again but no joy.

Any ideas?

My Hackintosh:
Kalyway 10.5.2 Intel/Amd -- Speedstep, Netkas Smbios, AMD test patch 2.
Mobo: MSI K9AGM2
Chipset: AMD 690v ATISB600 -- SB600ATA kexts
CPU: 3Ghz AMD Athlon 64x2 6000+
Ram: 2gb Rambo DDRii 667
Graphics: Nvidea MSI nx8600GT 512MB -- NvInject 512 (fully supported 100% working)
Audio~External: Focusrite Saffire -- (100% working - ootb)
Ethernet: 8101E -- Realtek R1000 (100% working)
HDD: 320GB WD SataII (150gb Boot Partition)
150gb Lacie Firewire/USB RIP my dear Lacie.

I'm guessing you are running a laptop? Perhaps a Toshiba Satellite A210/A215? If so, would you mind telling me how you got the installer working properly? So far mine won't even load the installer GUI, it just stops with the mouse pointer and a blank background, nothing further.

Nah, I'm runnin' a desktop. I just gave up with the integrated graphics and got a GF8600 512MB. Work with full EVERYTHING outta the box (NVInject kexts at install)

I had similar troubles with my first attempt at an install though. The install GUI can take a looong time to boot sometimes so try giving it time first! Not sure what your specs are but try using the -v flag in Darwin (options when prompted) and see what it tells ya. That'll give you an idea of what it's stuck on. Then you can search the forums with what you find there. And make sure your install DVD was burned at the slowest speed possible on good media. I can tell you that the X1200 graphics on the laptops you've quoted are not full supported. You'll most definitely find the same prob that I found but there's no reason you shouldn't get it up n' running.

Keep at it and let me know how you go or if I can help anymore.... (or less!!!!)

I let the intaller load for about 15 minutes and gave up. I guess I could leave it running all day and see what it gives me. I booted with -v but this happens after that goes away and before the gui loads so i assume it is loading but it acts like it is doing nothing, no hard drive spinup, dvd spinup, notta.

Specs: Toshiba A215-7422
AMD Turion x64 1.9 x2
ATI x1200 integrated
Ati sb600 southbridge
160gb harddrive Sata/Pata (for some reason it claims it uses both)
2.5 gig of ram
