boot0 error after Time Machine restore
Hi
I have Windows 7 installed on one hard drive and mac os x Leopard on another. I tried to install chameleon rc2 but I had a problem so i restored my mac drive using Time Machine. Not when I try to boot Mac OS X I get the following: boot0: MBR boot0: MBR boot0: error I tried leaving my OSX install DVD in the drive seeing if mac would boot up using the DVD boot loader but after the countdown of the DVD is complete it just shows advanced start up options. Is there any way I can get my Mac OSX drive to boot again? Thanks |

I'm thinking bootloader problem that still persists. A Time Machine restore will *NOT* restore the EFI emulation or the Chameleon bootloader AFAIK.
Unfortunately, I'm pretty sure you're going to have to format that drive, reinstall, then use the Migration Assistant to restore your data from Time Machine after that. And depending on what came with the install disc you may also want to reinstall Chameleon RC2 once the rest is done with. Good luck. HI
I formatted the drive and reinstalled Mac but now when it gets past the chameleon v1 bootloader and the white Apple loading screen appears the computer restarts and this happens again. How do I fix that? 💡 Deploy cloud instances seamlessly on DigitalOcean. Free credits ($100) for InfMac readers. |
