at first i installed leo on an external usb drive. then i copied the patition internal with acronis.
now i got this problem: i cant boot the external install. i can choose the hd via bios boot menue, darwin bootloader starts but loads into the wrong system. i tried to switch the startup volume in sys config, but there are no partitons to choose from. (only network boot) how do i get a running backup system? thanks Leopard 10.6.5 | Core i3 | Gigabyte H55M-USB3 | ATI 5770 | Coolermaster Cosmos |

well, i got into my usb system by using the "rd=diskXsY" boot flag.
but now i think i kind of invalidated my "com.apple.Boot.plist"... i tried to insert the flag via terminal but copied afterwards between the two installs. for achieving this i had to set permissions for the folder (in finder). now the .plist no longer shows the plist icon and i assume it is not loaded as the rd= flag does not work automatically. any ideas how to fix the .plist (why the need to use sudo nano in the first place anyway?) ____________ edit: adding flag to .plist worked (using nano), i got 2 seperate installs now. setting startup volume in sys config does not work... 💡 Deploy cloud instances seamlessly on DigitalOcean.
