Darwin Bootloader (non-EFI) to PC_EFI v8
I have a stable AMD machine using Zephyroth's Leopard 10.5.2 rev2 (now updated to 10.5.5).
I am using the standard Darwin bootloader (non-EFI), but I am curious if there's a difference between this and the PC_EFI v8. This is simply a question to satisfy my curious mind on the difference between the two and possible advantages and disadvantages both has on a machine. Also, I'm using MBR partition. I know PC_EFI v8 cannot be installed on MBR, yet I read on another forum that it now can. Last edited by dagger; 12-13-2008 at 04:23 PM. |

How to update from 10.5.2 to 10.5.5
I also loaded Zepy's 10.5.2 and the bootloader working fine in SATA drive.
How did you update 10.5.2 to 10.5.5? I tried using ASU while extracting the monitor showed reboot and nothing worked. I reinstalled 10.5.2 again. Any help in updating to 10.5.5 💡 Deploy cloud instances seamlessly on DigitalOcean. Free credits ($100) for InfMac readers. |
