That chipset isn't supported.
There IS a .kext for the SB600 ( called "SB600_SATA_ATA" ) - I've used it to get my Compaq V2000 Series laptop running (in a limited way...) with Zephyroth. It also got my 690G / SB600 motherboard recognizing the internal SATA drives...
I use the "external hard drive method" ( rather than trying to build a new .iso with the SB600_SATA_ATA .kext(s) added to the installation DVD (that's WAY over my head!))
Otherwise there's little chance you'll get 10.5.1 installed by just using the standard install DVD and the "usual" install method...
Running both 10.5.8 and 10.6.4 on my stinking AMD/ATi machine...
