Regarding your EFI Question - Don't worry, nothing happens to your BIOS if you install EFI.
In this case it's only an emulator which is started after BIOS.

Would EFI affect my current Windows XP installation on my current hard disk??

what are the benefits of having an EFI emulator when BIOS is still there? and is this PC EFI or just EFI?

Thanx for the reply!!

EFI only installs on your OSX86 partition.

It's necessary only for OSX.

It won't effect your BIOS, or your XP installation.

Booting back into your XP installation is dependent on what boot loader you use.

I Triple boot with XP and Ubuntu and use GRUB as my bootloader.

OS X has its own bootloader. Vista has its own. I use GRUB.

I don't know if there is any advantage to one over another, other than GRUB having a boot CD to repair the bootloader if something goes wrong.
