you could try deleting ACPI_SMC_platformplugin.

APIC is your problem, it is one of the power option and is needed for most of the installers. There is usually an option to enable it in the BIOS, but your mileage will vary alot with a laptop as they tend to have a stripped down BIOS.

I would take more notice of eddies reply, mine was only a meek suggestion!
But to delete boot with dvd search extensions folder. Would I be right in thinking that you upgraded to 10.5.2 and didn't use Zephs 10.5.2? Just remembered that when I upgraded I had to delete a kext I can't remember which one exactly but it certainly had SMC in the name. by the way its a plugin which means it will be inside another kext file |

On my Nforce motherboard if I open the BIOS and go to where the power options are, there is an option to enable APIC(Not ACPI). If I disable this I can't boot. Double check in your BIOS for it.

Nothing in my bios, just options to turn on/off different ports [usb, express card etc]
This laptop of mine has the same error with all of the releases that i have downloaded: iATKOS, Zephyroth 10.5.2, iATKOS with patch, Kalaway. I am booting off Zephyroths 10.5.2 disk - original one - md5 was fine - burnt at 2x I'll try deleting the ACPI_SMB..... file and get back to you, - what folder is it in? the extensions folder? Is there suppost to be kexts in the extensions folder, because there isn't any on my disk and it had the correct md5 should i copy them from the kalaway disk or could someone upload them so i can download them - if there suppost to be there Gaming Syste, Q6600 G0 @3.6 | Crucial Ballistix 6400 2GB | 200GB HDD | HD4870 | P5E [RAMPAGE BIOS] | Thermalright 120 Extreme with 130CFM+ Sunon 38x120mm fan | CM690 | Dell E248WFP Laptop - HP Compaq 6715b laptop | AMD Turion64 X2 [2.2ghz] | 2GB RAM | ATI X1250 | ATI RS690 Chipset / SB600 southbridge | 250GB HDD |
