Help, iATKOS v7, Ethernet problem
Hi, I am in need of dire help, I simply don't know what I am doing, but somehow I was able to install the mac os on my computer. (Not sure if my video card id detected or working properly)
Here are my specs e4300 1.83ghz core2duo asus p5k - (vanillia ?) 2 gb ram *Attansic - L1 gigabit ethernet (id 1963:1048) 8800 GTS 320mb I basically didn't customize anything and straight up did the boot dvd and installed the OS. Sound seems to be working, but I have not been able to get the network card working. I am a complete noob so I dont know where to start, sadly i dont know how to use the terminal, or mess with kexts, kernals or anything, I never have ever operated a MAC before either. I have found some links to gather some files but i have no idea how to use some of them or install drivers or remove drivers, etc... please help! |

That particular Ethernet controller is problematic to say the least. There are some ways to make it work, but from what I have read unless you are well versed in kext editing you may be out of luck. Your best bet is to buy a compatible NIC for your system, could save you a great deal of grief.
There are some folks on here that may be able to help you along in case you are determined to get your on board NIC to work. Below is a link that I found just by accident. Read up on the issue and maybe you can fix it. Good luck. ![]() http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/lof...40851-500.html 💡 Deploy cloud instances seamlessly on DigitalOcean.
