Oh my. I'm sorry that it didn't work well for you. It was supposed to be universal because of Voodoo and it's op code patching on the fly, but I'm personally not familiar with AMD as I do not own an AMD based system and neither does ~pcwiz, so we could only test for Intel anyway. We sent it to other testers, but only one that I knew of reported back and I do not think he had AMD either. Plus, with the fickle nature of AMD systems, it was just bad luck for most people since we couldn't test it all. We tried are best to accommodate everyone but it just didn't happen because of our love for Intel. Again, I'm sorry.
But as far as Intel goes, it should work fine.
