Hello!
Hello!
First off, I personally wouldn't touch one of the distros, but it really depends on how easy you want it to be... I much prefer retail installs, they are far cleaner and easier to update.. + you know exactly what drivers are running on your system.. I recently wrote a tutorial on how to install retail if you wish to follow it. Click me
As for the "waiting for root device", if your HD is IDE, try switching to SATA, it solved the problem for me on multiple occasions
Previously known as NebulOSX. MacBook, 2.1GHz Core 2 Duo Penryn, 2GB RAM, x3100 Graphics. - Mac Nano (Benchmarks)- Gigabyte GA-GC230D, Intel Atom 230 1.7GHZ (Overclocked), 2GB 533Mhz RAM, Mac OS X Leopard: Boot132 Method. ULTRAcheap build. With desktop GMA950 graphics fix.
