How to change kernel iAtkos v7

Tried OSX86Tools, chown root:wheel /mach_kernel
chmod 644 /mach_kernel, installer package, drop kernel in root, even from dvd to change the kernel.

Everytime the kernel doen't seem to move even a hair...

Darwin localhost 9.7.0 Darwin Kernel Version 9.7.0: Sat May 16 12:00:42 AST 2009; Based on Voodoo :xnu-1228.12.14/BUILD/obj/RELEASE_I386 i386

{Unknown Make} 9.7.0 Kernel

What is the path of this kernel, and how to replace it for another kernel?

Great. Thank you Imkantus. It works. Even VMware Fusion is working again.
