[cite] smileyme:[/cite]I guess I was lucky. I've been running Macs since I got my first computer. As a project, I built my PC for Ubuntu and XP, based on price/speed. OSX86 was an afterthought. Everything worked with a little effort except the onboard ethernet, which I solved with an NIC. OSX86 has replaced my G5 as my main machine.
If I had thought about OSX86 when I bought the components for my PC, I probably would have bought an Intel.

This is a very similar story to my own. I was going to update my old G5 Power Mac to a either an iMac or Mac Pro, but as with life and budget constraints this was never going to happen. I'm happy with my AMD hack (for now), but as mentioned, if I'd known I was going to follow this route then I too would have gone Intel.
