Did you ever try booting with -v or -x or -f or any other boot flags and if so what was the
Result
Find out what your chipset for your system I'd and from there you should be able todo some researching as to of anyone has ever had success with that chipset and what distro they used to get it working
Another place you might want to check is the os x 86 project wiki hardware compatability list seeing as I am posting from my iPod touch I can't copy and paste the URL over for you but a quick google search will get you there. And I know the list is for 10.5.2 at best but many of the sets drivers are still valid
