IATKOS V7 - Disk Utility - No Drives

Hi,

I am new to this but I have been trying for hours, read loads of tutorials, guides and forum threads and still can not figure out why it is not working.

I get to the part where you go to Disk utility and click your partition. However it finds no Drives never mind any partitions.

Everytime I have seen this problem mentioned in forums people say it is because the sata card is not supported e.t.c

However I am using a HP Pavillion DV6061ea laptop and I have heard of loads of people who have it working with the DV6000 laptop seen it working on youtube. the DV6061ea are pretty much identicle with a few small differences.

Anyone know if it just totally unsupported?

Here is a list of the hardware on my laptop :

Getting the same issue here, but with different hardware.

Initially I was trying to install to an IDE drive, it didn't see them. Went out and bought a SATA drive and it still wont see that. Noticed when I got to the system profiler thing it doesn't find any drives there either.

Tried a few other distros too with no luck. Currently downloading Kalyway to see what happens with that one.

I just tried Kalyway on mine and I got all excited as the Disk utility found something and listed it at the side, then I noticed all it had found was the DVD drive. More then I got with IATKOS but still not enough.

So for me :

IATKOS - Nothing appears in Disk Utility, No drives at all

Kalyway - DVD Drive appears in Disk Utility but thats all

Anyone know how I can fix this?

Going to try iPC :/
