Well I do generally not recommend to choose to much stuff, when using prepatched distros.
Important should be Voodoo 9.7.0, as it's the one you boot the DVD with, nForce Chipset driver, VoodooHDA is allmost working & selecting PS/2 drivers if needed - everything else I would do past installation.
Anyway if I would be in your situation, I would get Seatools and peform some diagnostics on my harddisk for bad sectors...
