Red face Install Vista after Leopard on a PC ?

Hello everyone,
I'm new here and I've recently decided to try to install Leopard on my laptop, but, since I don't know this OS very much, I wonder if I can install it and then, if I decide that I want Vista in a dualboot, install it.

So I've followed your guide to install iAtkos 1.0 but I didn't notice that I was for Intel PC only, and I have an AMD one (Toshiba Satellite).
Anyway, here are my settings :
Quote:
Manufacturer: TOSHIBA
Processor: AMD Turion(tm) 64 X2 Mobile Technology TL-56 (2 CPUs), ~1.8GHz
Memory: 2046MB RAM
Hard Drive: 158 GB
Video Card: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2400
Operating System: Windows Vista™ Édition Familiale Premium (6.0, Build 6000) (6000.vista_gdr.071009-1548)
Tell me if you need more.

I'm actually getting this version : Zephyroth's Leopard-10.5.2-AMD-EFI-Rev2.

Do you think it's simpler to install Leopard in dualboot with vista ? (I've just formatted my computer so I don't have any important data on it)

Thanky you.

Hello,

i dont know u Laptop ,so i cant say witch Distro will suits u well, but i can something about Dualboot.

You should install Vista first, then install OSX with Chameleon Bootloader. This is, as far as i know, standart at most Distro´s.

There u have a full functional Dualboot System.

When u install Vista after OSX, Vista "override" the OSX Bootloader, and u have to manually install it again, something i dont find soo easy

Good luck and have Fun!

Someone did it very easy here on forum, with iPC release. Install Leopard, then install Vista. After that boot the Leopard installer, choose the disk with leopard, do not format it, click next untill you see the Customize button. Go there and uncheck everything - leave only bootloader and let it go - should restore chameleon.

Thanks you very much for your replies, I'm going to install Leopard on my PC today and, since I have an external hard drive I think I'll use nuttzy's solution

I'll get back to you if I've got any troubles, thank you again
