I have had the same situation several times, but successive retries have proven fruitful. I don't know why it fails some times and not others. I haven't been able to boot from the SATA drive installed on, though. The computer just doesn't see the drive or partition, even though its active and flagged. Ubuntu shows the drive and all the folders installed by Zephyroth's 10.5.2 installer. If I disconnect the other drive, the computer won't get past the BioStar splash screen.

**Problem solved** Just had to switch IDE dvd drive to Master. I have never installed OSX on a SATA hdd until now.

@Smileyme, what are you computer specs?

"@Smileyme, what are you computer specs?"

BioStar K8M800 Micro AM2
Athlon 64x2 4000
2 GB DDR5300
FX5200128 MB AGP
SATA
Firewire 400/800 PCI

I just added the Firewire card, and will try to install to a Firewire drive later today.

The machine recognizes the SATA drive/partition, but not as bootable with Leopard on it.
