Ok up until now I've been installing OSX86 on my intel based laptop but now I'm moving it to my AMD based desktop.

This is my hardware:

Processor: AMD Athlon 64 3200+
MoBo: ASUS A8N-E NFORCE4
Graphics: ASUS x1600
Hard Drives: Maxtor Pata, 2 Western Digital Sata, 1 Seagate Sata

Install Boot Hang Fix:

1. Boot with the DVD
2. Press F8, then type "-s"
3. Type "cd /usr/standalone/i386"
4. Type "dd if=./guid/boot1h of=/dev/rdiskXsY bs=512 count=1" (X is the disk number and Y is the partition number on which you installed Leo)
5. Type "dd if=./guid/boot0 of=/dev/diskX bs=400 count=1"
6. Type "./startupfiletool -v /dev/diskXsY ./boot_v8"

That is what I found on the Wiki site for OSX86 and that is where i become confused; I haven't installed the OS yet cause when i boot the dvd it goes no where. Now I tried following those instructions but i'm also lost. So let me get this straight, I reboot my machine, boot the dvd; hit F8 to enable startup options, type -s and do i hit enter? cause i've tried that and nothing happens still hangs. Now in step 4 it says where u installed Leo...... I haven't installed it yet? I have a partition set to fat32 so i can reformat for Leo during the install? I'm not a absolute noob when it comes to this on an intel machine but for AMD i'm a complete noob.Someone who has successfully installed this on the exact same mobo the ASUS A8N-E (not SLI that exact model) please tell me how u got leo to install if you can just help me to get the install going and get it installed I can do the rest.thanx in advanced to clear confusing i'm using Zeph's 10.5.2 like the wiki says for my mobo.

install it first

Then sometimes you need to add the bootloader if you install on guid partition

Or make the disk bootable

With fdisk

The problems you may have are listed osx86.wikidot.com

So install without f8 first

SAM usually means bad disk, so you should try to burn it at 4x.
If it doesn't work we'll try something else.
