@WinLinMac01: haha, yeah i've often wondered what would happen if a tech came over and saw my hackintosh. i think the world would collapse for him just a little bit.

on another note, this is the second thread i'm talking in where someone has recommended using a realtek adapter. hmm.

i'm actually going to try plugging straight into my cable modem in a little while and see if my router has anything to do with this issue.
