Hi Vlad,

So after 26h later (512kpbs connexion, I hate you) to re-DL the ISO, the boot works correctly. My previously ISO was really corrupted.

Now it's time for me to install Leopard on my computer
It's an another quest !

Thanks for your support both !
I hope to help you back !

Fred

Hi,

No prob, if I can help, I do it
Installation process is in progress, it's long (18min to wait again, so long as a Windows installation )

I hope too I have selected the good options for installation. What's the prob with your 8800GTS ?

i've installed internet explorer 8 beta release candidate, wanted to see how it works (on vista64) and it messed up the grap.card on restarting.. i have no clue how that could have happened..
on starting up, it was giving me the "dumping physical memory" BSOD..
and a buzzing sound when i used programs while i was listening to music..
when i removed the driver..the problems stopped..but cant use the card without drivers.. tried all sorts of drivers..

replacing the card made the problem go away... so im waiting to get a new one..

so i suggest never to download stupid microsoft beta programs.. hope osx86 will help me on this ..

One rule : never, never, never try a MS beta software on your system. Since IE7 beta, i try all beta shit in a virtual machine for more security

Osx boot correctly on my computer. But there are already a trouble, I have changed my screen resolution (original : 1360x768) to 1440x900 and... now I have a lil' pretty blue screen, no desktop, no mouse pointer Gosh, isn't easy. I must boot with -x parameters now.

No sound too. No network too (no ethernet, no wireless with my linksys wmp54g).

This night seems veryyyy long

my resolution is 1680x1050... where did you change your res?
since i have a wide screen, it didn't automaticly set the res (while installing)

did you choose ALC889A driver for audio ?
Realtek R1000 for ethernet

?

I change my resolution into the system preference menu, default is 1360x768 on my system and it's very ugly...

For drivers :

For audio : ALC888A driver.
For Ethernet : Realtek R1000.
For Wireless (Linksys WMP54G) : RALINK (this after 2500USB or something else)

Nothing works And I discover that FrontRow doesn't work too 'cause my graphical card doesn't support it (same for some screensavers).

Now, the good question is : how to change my drivers ?

OSx86 install on a GA-P35-DS3R : Second round !

I maked a new fresh install 'cause I wasted a lot of time to find a solution to fix my screen resolution problem. Oh, of course, I could make that directly via the CD under OSX but at 75%, an error occured. Nice. Funny. Really. Be cool, don't be crazy. Relaaaax.

So, what's new ?

Sound drivers : alc888a or azalia, it's the same : doesn't work.

Ethernet : Realtek R1000 but I see that the connection "unplug" my HomePlug (netgear x102) of his network. I'll test without HomePlug tomorrow, with a RJ45 plugged directly from my computer to my DSL modem.

Wireless : Ralink or Broadcom. My Linksys WMP54G is a lil' piece of s..t ! Some models have a Ralink chipset, another have a Broadcom chipset... In case, she's not in the hardware panel of OSX (no PCI card connected).

Graphic card : nvinjector 256 and nvinjector, both recognize my vga card (nvidia geforce 8600gts), but some application like FrontRow, screensaver, etc... told me that my graphic card isn't supported. Strange !

Well, I definitively loose the battle this night, cafeine is perhaps my best friend but I need to sleep a lil' bit. Tomorrow is an another day

Hi Wayang,

I forgot to tell you, but I realised yesterday that my KVM could be a source of problem. It's the cause of my 1360x768 resolution. Now my screen is natively to 1440x900 but I'm afraid to make any change

For the QE/CI, I don't know what is it, never hear before, so thanks for the advise. Everyday come with a lot of surprise
