I have AMD system, which runs kalyway 10.5.2. Its been pretty stable and i havent found problem as such. (touchwood) running tons of apps luckily no issues.
I want to update to 10.5.6(mostly greed and partially need...for iphone dev)
I am trying to use ASU latest from the sticky. It lists a comboupdate for 10.5.6. would it be safe to go for this directly? Is there any precaustions i need to take (ofcourse other than backing up kexts and data). Any separate steps?
I see somewhere ppl talking about deleting some "power.." kext etc. Not sure. "The seaside place" has a kalyway update for 10.5.3 but it says its only for intel. So just wondering..if somebody can help.
Please help

I used Zephyroths AMD update and it automatically downloaded and patched 10.5.6 for me, I went straight from 10.5.2 to 10.5.6 Only issue is I need to find the NVidia driver now, I'm in it right now, but without the kext i keep getting artifacts. I originally installed with no Nvidia Kexts. Works great, when using it I chose the modify only option selected the 10.5.6 update and modified it then went to my downloads folder and started the pkg install. Rebooted and loaded into OS. If it doesn't boot right away wait a minute, after that restart the computer and type -v -x at the prompt. If it self-reboots then try a normal boot again. Mind you I didn't update my kernel and I'm using Modbin.
