Kernel panic - iPC 10.5.6 on an AMD-System
Hi @all,
I've a big problem with my hackintosh system. Got several kernel panics on different applications and services... ---My Hardware--- CPU: AMD (k8) X2 6400+ BE RAM: 2x2048 MB Corsair CL5 Dualchannel Mainboard: Asus Crosshair (nForce 590 sli) Graphic: nVidia Geforce 8800gts512 (Geforce 92 GPU) HDD: S-ATA 500 gb ---My Configuration--- Kernel: Voodoo and Voodoo Power package Graphic-driver: nvDarwin 512 Chipsetdriver: nForce Test W-Lan: RT2870 (for my D-Link DWA140 Stick) Fixes: Seatbelt fix ---My Problem--- If i start OS-X in the failsave mode, I haven't got any issue yet. But If I start OS-X normally, the kernel is always crashing at different situations. Think that this is a very strange failure, and I don't know to fix it. Sometimes my System crashes at "iCaller helper", sometimes "mdworker" and the next one could be "kext cache"... Have anybody of you an answer to this problem, or an idea to fix it? Some "impressions" of my normal boot process: (sorry, the pics I've mad with my cell-phone) http://www.pictureupload.de/pictures/240409182553_DSC_0001.jpg http://www.pictureupload.de/pictures...2_DSC_0003.jpg http://www.pictureupload.de/pictures...3_DSC_0002.jpg Thanks cemetry |

it looks like your install is a little crappy. You could try reinstall and recheck your disk and that things.

I second that, naquaada.
Try tossing out VoodooPower and see if that fixes things. I have a hunch. Custom Hackintosh...AMD Athlon X2 5000+ (2.6 GHz) on GA-MA78GM-S2H...Linksys WMP300n Wireless...ALC889a sound...ATI HD 3650 PCIe...1 GB DDR2 RAM...320GB Western Digital SATA + 200GB Seagate IDE HDD...Rosewill DVD-RW IDE...Running Kalyway upgraded to 10.5.7...All Fully Functional |

No Chance.... I've disabled VoodooPower at a new installation. The Disc is correct, no errors.
But, I think I've my problem found: OpenGL and QE. If disable it with OSX86utils, all is working (logically without OpenGL). Tried nvDarwin512, nvInject512 and nvkush, none of them is working... SystemProfiler gave me this deviceID: 0x0600 versionID: 0x00a2 Anyone an Idea? cemetry 💡 Deploy cloud instances seamlessly on DigitalOcean. Free credits ($100) for InfMac readers. |
