Kernel Panic + other issues.
Hey guys,
Here are my specs, Athlon 64bit 3000+, 1GB RAM, PNY Geforce 6600GT, Nforce 4 Ultra. Running Ideneb 10.5.4, upgraded to 10.5.6 used voodoo, and now when I restart the boot-loader constantly restarts to the BIOs, so to boot up, I have to enter boot: voodoo - s ( -x safe mode works as-well) My USB doesn't work either, so I can't upload the photos of the kernel panic, though I will edit this post at a later date with them in. Itunes 8.1 also loads up and then hangs for no apparent reason. Hope you guys can help me out. |

Sounds like you let the update replace your kernel.
Have you tried re-installing Voodoo, either with the installer or by hand Code:
sudo -s cd / mv mach_kernel vanilla_kernel ln -s mach_kernel.voodoo mach_kernel |

Slight issue here, as i get a kernel panic when I download the voodoo kernel, it freezes up before I can install it, so how can I install it?

See this thread
http://www.infinitemac.com/f5/update...ersions-t1992/ But according to your first post you already have a copy of it on your system, which you are currently using to boot, for now just follow the instructions I provided to back up the default kernel and link the voodoo kernel to be the default then see if the machine boots normally without any boot flags. If it does, then go from there. |

Dies can I buy you a beer, you've just solved both my issues man, I removed the kernel, and I then installed AnV XNU Kernel, and it seems to be a okay.
