I can never get to an installation screen with rev 1 of Zeph's Leopard 10.5.1 AMD cd. I have tried flags such as -x -legacy -system=x86PC etc.. and no luck. I noticed some issues with APCI during loading of the kernel however it scrolls to fast to see what those issues were.
The error I get is Panic (cpu 0 caller 0x0036DAC7):"Process 1 exec of /sbin/launchd failed, errno 88\n"@/volumes/disk1s2/leo_xnu-1228/bsd/kern/kern_exec.c:2884 Computer is an Acer Aspire E360 with the following, (no additional hardware) AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+ Socket 939 MMX (+), 3DNow! (+), SSE, SSE2, SSE3, x86-64 NVIDIA GeForce 6100 rev. A2 NVIDIA nForce 410/430 MCP rev. A2 Motherboard FC51GM Ram 2x, DDR PC3200 (200 MHz), 512 MBytes, Nanya Technology |

So I try with SATA disabled in bios. I noticed the following issues with ACPI as the kernel attempts to boot to start a installation,
Com.apple.driver.AppleACPIP.platform and com.apple.driver.AppleACPIP.Thermal They have multiple dependecies etc.. I have no good camera to take a screen shot of the kernel panic code and am just looking for something to try based on my pc spec. one thing I missed from years ago is when I used to have the good old loadlin bootdisk installing slackware ![]() Any comments, suggestions, help is really appreciated and I fear that revision 2 will not do squat from what I am reading based on my motherboard/bios..? |

Hey cyberclub,
I've got a similiar/the same problem: I've installed Mac OS already, but when I want to start, I get (with any flag) a kernel panic. Something like this: Panic (cpu 0 caller 0x0036DAC7):"Process 1 exec of /sbin/launchd failed, errno 88\n"@/volumes/disk1s2/leo_xnu-1228/bsd/kern/kern_exec.c:2884 And it's the same kernel panic as yours. So let's found a club, named "Panic (cpu 0 caller 0x0036DAC7):"Process 1 exec of /sbin/launchd failed, errno 88\n"@/volumes/disk1s2/leo_xnu-1228/bsd/kern/kern_exec.c:2884" and let's wait for Rev. 2 (or for help). ;-) BTW: I've got similiar specs: AMD Athlon 64 3200, Nvidia Geforce 6600GT, 4x 512MB RAM, Epox Mainboard 💡 Deploy cloud instances seamlessly on DigitalOcean.
