I have just installed a iPC OSx86 10.5.6 v1.1 in my PC:

AMD Athlon x2
Nvidia 7800 GTX
A8N-SLI Deluxe

All working properly but I get a kernel panic (thread fail: kernel_task) when updating any software.

I've tried with and without de Disabler.ketx, and with an without AppleIntelCPUPowerManagament.ketx with no success.

The kernel panic happens in the moments that the updates start downloading, before any installation of the updates.


Any idea?

Try downloading the Delta (or Combo) Update file from Apple's site instead of using Software Update.
