I am totally confused. Where's an Idiot's guide to usenet when you need one. Lol.

I created an account in http://astinews.de/xtest. I then download a bunch of programs like Newsbin Pro, UsenetGrab, Binjet, and Grabit. Couldn't get any program to work with it. I then found a free newserver called Dissenter (http://www.disenter.com) and I couldn't get any program to work with that as welll. I know I am doing something wrong, so if anyone out there has anything for me I would really appreciate it. If not, I will just have to wait for the torrents (something I can actually download And if some people think that I am just writing this because I am too lazy to look this up, I am not, I have looked for this for about 3 hrs.
