ok thanks.I have read all related threads in insanelymac.
I have that motherboard and the sound worked out the box with the AC97 driver selected during install. Try putting the DVD in and using iVisible or pathfinder to show hidden files then run the ac97 installer package.

EDIT: i just reinstalled the ac97 kext like you said and still no sound! |
