M2N-SLI Deluxe, Phenom 9750, GTX260, 4GB Crucial Ballistix. Which Distro?

Hi there

I am having trouble getting a working install. Have tried iDeneb 1.3 but wont boot. It will boot in safe no problem, but just can't get it to boot normally with 9.4xnu or 9.5 kernels. Didn't select any drivers...

Mobo: Asus M2N-SLI Deluxe
CPU: AMD Phenom 9750
Graphics: NVidia GTX260 896MB
Memory: 2 x 2GB Crucial Ballistix Red
SATA Hard drives and SATA DVD drive.

Which distro is recommended for this? I am currently trying LawlessPPC Phenom 10.5.4.

I did try iPC and it installed, couldn't get desired resolution even with graphics mode (1680x1050x32). Instead when I dragged windows round, it would drag the outine with it, like the solitaire completion animation! Which is odd because it didn't do that in safe mode in iDeneb.

Anyway, any suggestions would be tres helpful.

Cheers

D

Ok.

Have a fully running install with LawlessPPC now. LAN up and running fine.

Problem is, GTX 260! It's amazing how such a powerful card is reduced to such s*$t under leopard!

I tweaked boot plist to graphics mode 1680x1050x32. Thing is, when it boots up it won't go any higher than 1280 x 1024 - Quite annoying on a widescreen display.

Any ideas?

And is there really no way of getting QE/CI support?

As far as I know there is still no framework for the GTX 260 series. However, with a little time and patience I'm sure support will arrive. It was the same back when the Geforce 8 series cards first appeared - we had to be a little patient

@douggy12345

Which BIOS version are you using? I am thinking about replacing my 5000+ X2 with a new CPU. Im pretty sure I need to update it to get support for new CPus
